+1 Ride Pets to Fight Coins and Upgrades: Earn, Sell and Spend
Last updated:
Coins pay for more Shell capacity, more Power per training hit and better Shell drops. Match your next purchase to the activity slowing you down, then fund it without selling the materials you need for your next pet.
Quick answer
Earn Coins by selling items, claiming Free Gifts and receiving Dungeon Crate rewards. Buy Bag when you keep running out of Shell space, Train when you need more Power per hit, or Luck when you want better Shell drops. Keep your next Forge materials out of bulk sales, then buy your chosen upgrade at the blue Upgrades stall in town.
Bag, Train and Luck at a Glance
The three Coin upgrades improve different parts of your routine. Their level limits are Bag 12, Train 20 and Luck 10; the catalog below lists their effects.
Prices apply to the next purchase at your current upgrade level. For example, Train costs 50 Coins at Level 0, while Bag costs 48,000 Coins for the next purchase at Level 4. See the purchase examples for the available price sequences.
Choose Luck for better Shell drops. For a particular pet or rarity, use the selected materials' Forge Chances to guide your Egg Forge choice.
Earn Coins from Sales, Gifts and Crates
| Source | How it helps fund upgrades |
|---|---|
| Item sales | Exchange pets or selected Shells for Coins. |
| Free Gifts | Stay online, open Free Gifts and claim ready Coin rewards. |
| Dungeon Crates | Crates from gifts or Boss drops can award Coins. |
Claiming ready gifts is useful before selling materials you would prefer to keep. Dungeon Crates and Free Gifts can also provide temporary Coins boosts.

Paid Coin source: Starter Pack
The one-time Starter Pack includes Coins. Offers can display different amounts, including 2,500 or 17,000 Coins; use the amount on the offer you are buying. Compare the bundle and permanent Coin bonuses in the game passes and Starter Pack guide.
Sell Items Without Spending Your Forge Materials
To sell pets, go to the SELL entrance in the main town. Sell pets you intend to exchange for upgrade money.
For Shell sales:
- Decide which Shells you want to keep for your next pet attempt.
- Select the Shells you intend to sell. Use the all-items selection only when you want to sell everything it selects.
- Keep your reserved Forge materials out of the selection, then sell the selected Shells for Coins.
A Shell's sale value can make it useful for funding an upgrade, but it also has value as a Forge ingredient. As a price example, an Olympus Shell was worth approximately 9.3K Coins each in one player's setup; that amount is specific to that setup.
Use the Shell catalog to find materials and their uses before choosing what to keep.
Which Upgrade Should You Buy First?
- Buy Bag first if trips end because your Shell bag fills up. More carrying space lets you bring back more of the drops you want before returning. Use the collection and stash guide for handling a full bag.
- Buy Train first if your next goal is more Power from training. Its per-hit improvement supports time spent attacking training dummies. Pair it with a suitable training facility.
- Buy Luck first if carrying space is comfortable and better Shell drops are your priority. This targets the materials you collect for later use.
If both capacity and drops are holding you back, Bag followed by Luck is a practical route: expand the amount you can carry, then improve drops. If training is your immediate priority, Train addresses that need more directly.
If you need an Epic pet next, reserve the materials for your intended Forge combination and compare its displayed rarity chances before consuming them. If an upgrade is more urgent, sell materials you do not plan to invest in that attempt. You can also save Legendary Shells for a later attempt instead of spending them on a chance mix you do not want.
Upgrade Prices and Purchase Examples
Bag: 5 to 8 Shell capacity
The three consecutive purchases in this capacity example cost 820 + 3,000 + 12,000 = 15,820 Coins. Together, they add 3 carrying slots, taking capacity from 5 to 8 Shells and ending at Bag Level 4.
At Level 4, the next purchase is quoted at 48,000 Coins. That next price is separate from the 15,820 Coins already spent.
Train: the Level 0 purchase
At Train Level 0, the next upgrade costs 50 Coins. Its purpose is to increase Power gained per training hit.
Luck: Level 0 to Level 2
Starting at Level 0 with +0% Luck, the first purchase costs 1,500 Coins and the second costs 12,000 Coins. The total is 13,500 Coins to reach Level 2 with +12% Luck.
At Luck Level 2, the next purchase is quoted at 66,000 Coins, separate from the two purchases above.
Buy at the Blue Upgrades Stall
- Go to the blue Upgrades stall in the main town and open its menu.
- Choose Bag, Train or Luck according to your next goal.
- Read the Coin price on that upgrade's purchase button and buy it when you have enough Coins.
- Check the new upgrade level and the next price before buying again.
If the purchase button is gray or you get Not enough coins, earn the remaining Coins before retrying. Claim available reward gifts or sell items you have set aside for funding. For another material run, follow the Shell collection route and stash steps.
