Read numerical stats together with their configuration labels: example card values describe that configuration, rather than fixed stats for every pet of that species. A result-card Rank applies to its displayed comparison group, not a ranking of the entire pet collection.

Rarities, Reveal Stars and the Pet Index

The rarity progression runs Common → Uncommon → Rare → Epic → Legendary. Egg Forge also includes Mythic in its chance panel.

Reveal stars help identify a new pet's rarity: Rare Eagle has a three-star reveal, Epic Triceratops has four stars, and Legendary Fire Dragon has five. Read these as reveal indicators, not instructions to upgrade a pet's stars.

Open Index → Pets to browse the collection and its rarity categories. Open Pets / My Pets to inspect pets you own and access riding controls. The Halloween update description lists 165+ pets; an earlier Index version has a 145-entry counter, so those totals refer to different versions. For collection rewards and claiming steps, see Pet Index rewards.

Choose for Training, Damage or Control

For training, compare the Power per training hit on the pet cards you can currently use. Keep this separate from normal-hit damage: one measures training gains, while the other describes attacks. Use the training guide to choose facilities and understand Power and XP progression.

For combat, compare Health, normal-hit damage, special damage, the special's interval and its effects. Choose the effect that addresses your immediate problem:

  • Burn damage — Fire Dragon: Inferno Breath adds burn. While riding Fire Dragon, click for Flame Bite and press Q when Inferno Breath is available; its interval is 12 seconds.
  • Slow and stun — Kitsune or Crocodile: These effects suit a strategy built around restricting enemy movement. Kitsune's Nine Tails Illusion has a 10-second interval, compared with 12 seconds for Crocodile's Swamp Whirlpool, giving Kitsune the shorter interval between opportunities to apply control.
  • Knockback and slow — Pegasus or Elephant: Consider these when you want to push enemies away and slow their return. While riding Elephant, click for Trunk Whack, including at a training facility, and press Q for Trunk Cannon when available. Both Elephant's Trunk Cannon and Pegasus's Starlight Gallop have 12-second intervals.
  • Knockback and stun — Lion: King's Roar suits situations where you want to create space and stop an enemy briefly.
  • Knockback — Hippo: Mega Yawn is an option when pushing enemies away is your main priority.

For a control-focused ordering and its tradeoffs, use the crowd-control pet tier list. For movement and attack timing, see combat controls and survival tips.

Lion vs Crocodile: Training Example and Skill Tradeoffs

Lion is the stronger training choice for the example card configurations below. Both pets are Rare.

Attribute in the example configuration Lion Crocodile
Power per training hit 20,600 11,800
Health 8,150 HP 5,080 HP
Normal-hit damage 889 508
Special damage 1,630 1,100

Lion provides 8,800 more Power per training hit, approximately 74.6% more than Crocodile in this comparison: (20,600 − 11,800) ÷ 11,800 × 100. This is a comparison of those two configurations, not a fixed species advantage; use your current cards when deciding which pet to train with.

Both specials have a 12-second interval and include stun. Lion's King's Roar adds knockback, while Crocodile's Swamp Whirlpool adds slow. Favor Lion when pushing enemies away is useful; favor Crocodile when slowing their movement better fits your positioning.

Ride a Pet and Expand Your Storage

To switch to a pet you own:

  1. Open Pets / My Pets.
  2. Select the pet you want to use and inspect its attributes.
  3. Press RIDE. The active mount is marked RIDING and supplies your attacks and special ability.

Use EQUIP BEST for an automatic choice. ALREADY BEST! can appear when that selection is already active. To choose a specific control effect, select the pet yourself. Immediately after obtaining a new pet, RIDE IT! on its result card lets you switch directly.

The More Pets pass costs 99 Robux and permanently adds 25 pet storage slots. See the game pass buying guide to compare it with other upgrades.

Find Forge Combinations and Lantern Pup

Egg Forge can produce Fire Dragon, Elephant, Pegasus, Kitsune, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Eagle, Lion, Hippo and Fluffy Sheep. Bring Shells, open Egg Forge, and inspect Forge Chances for your selection before starting FORGE. The displayed probabilities apply to rarities, not individual named pets; a combination that produces a particular pet is not a guaranteed recipe for it. Use the Shell combinations and pet outcomes guide for material quantities and example chances.

To get Lantern Pup, open Shop → Starter Pack. It is included in the one-time pack priced at 49 Robux. See the Starter Pack contents before choosing the bundle.
