+1 Ride Pets to Fight Shells: Collection Locations and Forge Uses

Search by Shell name to find its known collection location, appearance and Egg Forge use. Dragon Shell and Lantern Shell can both be used as Forge materials.

Look for these Shells as you progress; a Shell appearing after a fight does not mean it is guaranteed to drop there.

• Jurassic Shell: Around Stage 9 and on later stage routes.
• Titan Shell: In the Volcano Tiki Chief battle area.
• Armored Shell: In the Volcano Tiki Chief area and near Stage 14. Its icon in the Forge selection menu is purple.
• Sky Shell: Before the bridge to Stage 12.
• Olympus Shell: On the ground near Stage 14.
• Underworld Shell: After a Cannon Crab fight.

For access to later areas, check the stage requirements and world unlocks.

• For Coins: Compare the labels on the drops available during your current trip and prioritize the ones worth more. Titan Shell was a higher-value choice among the available drops after a Volcano Tiki Chief fight.
• For forging: Leave bag space for the materials you want to keep. You can save Legendary Shells for a later attempt while using other materials for your current pet goal.
• For a later stage: You can leave earlier drops behind to preserve space, but returning through previously cleared areas can require fighting again.

Before selling in bulk, set aside the Shells you intend to use at the Forge. See Coins and upgrades for spending choices.

Approach a Shell on the ground and press E at the COLLECT prompt. Watch your bag space, then use BACK to return and stash your Shells. Some pickups give more than one Shell.

At the Egg Forge in the main plaza, select at least four Shells and review the displayed chances before forging a pet. Alternatively, sell Shells to fund Coin upgrades.
